Some people just don’t get it. At all.

I frequently glance at Google News headlines, just to get a flavor for what’s going on. No depth, but it’s a good quick scan to spot where things are headed by the flow of the headlines. Yesterday I hit the poster child page for what is wrong in our country.

A while back there was book published called “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten“. I’ve not read the whole book, but I have read snippets and it appears to be an excellent guide to living. Some snippets that I thought were especially relevant to the drivel that follows would be these

Play fair. Don’t hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clan up your own mess. Don’t take things that aren’t yours.

So, without further ado, direct from your Friends at Google News…

Facing Ethics Charges, Rep. Waters Points Finger at Bush Administration

Yep. You got it. And here’s the quote from the story

Embattled Rep. Maxine Waters on Friday blamed the Bush administration for her ethics problems — saying she had to intervene with the Treasury Department on behalf of minority-owned banks seeking federal bailout funds — including one tied to her husband — because the Treasury Department wouldn’t schedule its own appointments.

As usual the ignorant stupid woman only bothers with part of the story. In point of fact, she called the meeting with federal officials with the ruse that they were going to be discussing issues at minority banks. Plural. Banks. Regulators showed up and met with only the officials from the bank that Maxine’s husband holds $350,000 of stock in. Only. That. Bank. Oh, and as a side note for Maxine’s husband, you really have provided a community service about good reasons to not drink before you propose marriage.

It’s Bush’s fault. Remember that. It might be useful the next time you get pulled over for speeding.

Lindsay Lohan Mom Blames “Hardball” Judge for Jail

So, I’m thinking that the judge has ordered bailiffs to maybe water board Lindsay with vodka or something. ABC has the scoop.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Lindsay Lohan’s mother blamed her daughter’s jail term on a judge that “played hardball” and defended the troubled star on Friday, but said she would retreat from Hollywood after finishing a stint in rehab to move back to New York.

Dina Lohan told U.S. morning talk show NBC’s “Today” she didn’t think her 24 year-old daughter deserved jail time — “not for this particular offense,” she said.

“She’s been through a lot. The judge played hardball. Lindsay was in with alleged murderers and she’s become friends with a lot of them.

OK mom. Gee, I can’t wait for Lindsay’s next round. There’s more in the story, but it doesn’t get any better. Lindsay Lohan and her mother are reasons to consider the correctness of Barack Obama’s position on infanticide.

Obama signs border security bill, with no comment

Well, at least our Parsimonious President didn’t blame the problem on Bush.

President Obama signed a new border security bill today, but didn’t comment on it or the prospects of more immigration legislation down the line.

Only photographers were allowed into the Oval Office ceremony. No reporters.

No pesky reporters. Just a statement that represents the usual pack of lies and nobody to question him on it.

I have made securing our Southwest border a top priority since I came to office. That is why my administration has dedicated unprecedented resources and personnel to combating the transnational criminal organizations that traffic in drugs, weapons, and money, and smuggle people across the border with Mexico.

On those sour notes, I’m left pretty much speechless. Other than to point out that Barack really belongs with Maxine and Lindsay.
