Ahhh yes Janet. Safe as a babe in mom’s arms.

Remember when Janet Napolitano said this

On Tuesday [April 27, 2010], Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano,(editor’s note from Jane: Napolitano: aka “Sleepy”) testifying at a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting, said the southern border in Arizona is as safe as it ever has been.

“I know that border I think as well as anyone, and I will tell you it is as secure now as it has ever been,” Napolitano said.

Ahh yes. Safe.

And today in Juarez

Juarez– People in Juarez are recovering from a car bomb that killed four Thursday night. The victims include two federal agents, an ambulance worker and a doctor who was in the area when the bomb went off.

Tonight, we have learned that it was a car bomb that was detonated with the same kind of sophistication that is used by terrorist groups like Hezbollah.
[…]
Law Enforcement has arrested the man they say masterminded the attack. The man is identified as Armando Acosta Guerrero. Authorities say he is a high ranking member of “La Linea”, the enforcement arm of the Juarez cartel.

So, we’ve got a cartel using Hezbollah sophistication to murder Mexican police. In Juarez. Google map it. You can spit into Juarez from El Paso and it’s on the Arizona border. That would be the area that the US government says you should stay out of because of armed drug gangs. That would be the border with no fence. No physical security.

Gee, I wonder where the drugs the cartel sells are going? Couldn’t possibly be into Texas and Arizona could it? Yeah, I didn’t think so either. After all, the only people who cross our southern border are those hard working family types looking to make a better life for their children. Except why did the administration that Ms. Napolitano flacks for put up signs in our desert – thirty miles from Phoenix – warning that we should stay out?

I can’t wait for the cartel to set one off in El Paso or Tucson or Phoenix. It will of course be George Bush’s fault.

Oh, and “safe as a babe in mom’s arms”? Not. More like “safe as a babe in the womb of a liberal Democrat”. Janet’s on the job, never fear.

I mean, what could we possibly have to fear with Janet on the job couch.
